Yin-Yang Master: Dream of Eternity is a 2020 Chinese fantasy film written and directed by Guo Jingming, adapted from Baku Yumemakura's Onmyoji novels. It opened in China on December 25, 2020, and Netflix bought the streaming rights.
Mark Chao and Deng Lun lead, with Wang Ziwen, and Wang Duo.
Every few hundred years, the most powerful demon on earth, a giant serpent, awakens, and the Yin-Yang Masters are summoned to the capital to deal with it. The masters Qingming and Boya find themselves drawn into a murder investigation and a palace conspiracy, as the realm's princess makes plans to claim the demon's power for herself.
Is it connected to the 2021 Yin Yang Master? No. Both draw on the Onmyoji stories, but they are separate productions.
Is it suitable for younger viewers? We haven't found a published rating. It is a fantasy action film with demon battles and some violence.
For another Onmyoji fantasy, try Yin Yang Master (2021) DVD. For more modern Chinese spectacle, see Rising Shaolin: The Protector (2021) DVD.
