Shaolin vs Wutang, also known as Shaolin and Wu Tang, is a 1983 Hong Kong martial arts film directed by and starring Gordon Liu, produced by Lau Kar-leung. It opened in Hong Kong in July 1983.
Adam Cheng co-stars, with Idy Chan, Johnny Wang Lung-wei and Ching Li.
Master Liu teaches Shaolin kung fu and Master Law teaches Wu Tang swordplay, and the two run rival schools in the same city. Their top students are close friends, but a scheming lord sees them fighting and decides he must learn both styles. His plotting puts the friends, and their schools, on a collision course. The film gives equal time to fist and sword, and the duels are crisp and inventive.
