The Hot, the Cool, and the Vicious is a Taiwanese kung fu film directed by Lee Tso-nam for Tung Hai Film Company, from a script by Chang Hsin-yi. It pairs two great kickers of the era, Dorian Tan Tao-liang and Don Wong Tao.
Tommy Lee, Phillip Ko, Sun Chia-lin and George Wang are also in the cast.
Black Stone is a sleepy town until a mysterious stranger arrives, and he turns out to be the notorious Southern Fist fighter Pai Yu-ching. The town's lawman, Captain Lu, known as Northern Leg, keeps a close eye on him. Behind the scenes, a counterfeiting ring run by the scheming Mr. Lung is at work, and the clash of styles that follows is the reason to watch.
Why do some sources say 1977? Its main release dates are in early 1977. The store lists it as 1976, which some sources also use.
