Honor and Glory is a 1992 martial arts action film written and directed by Godfrey Ho, credited here as Godfrey Hall. Cynthia Rothrock stars, with Donna Jason, John Miller, Chuck Jeffreys and a young Robin Shou.
It has also been released as Angel the Kickboxer.
FBI agent Tracey Pride is determined to bring down Jason Slade, a businessman involved in extortion and murder. Her team is a mixed bunch: her sister Joyce, a television reporter; her Hong Kong partner; and Jake, a bodyguard who used to work for Slade. The story is mostly a vehicle for fights, and there are plenty of them, with Rothrock, Jeffreys and Shou all getting their moments. It is a good pick for anyone who likes their early-1990s action fast and unpretentious.
Who directed it? Godfrey Ho, credited as Godfrey Hall.
Is it suitable for younger viewers? The BBFC rated a 2003 UK release 15.
