The Killer of Swordsmen is a 2025 Chinese wuxia film written and directed by Li Bingyuan, who also stars. Sun Yiran co-stars.
It is also known as Drunken Blade, the nickname of its hero.
Han Yueren, feared across the martial world as the Drunken Blade, travels to an isolated desert town to repay an old kindness: a meal given to him long ago. He finds the town at the mercy of sword bandits, and the woman who runs things there has plans of her own. He takes up his blade, and the town becomes a battlefield. Li Bingyuan wrote, directed and stars, so the film is very much his own vision of the lone swordsman story.
Is it the same film as Drunken Blade? Yes. Drunken Blade is another English title.
Is it suitable for younger viewers? We haven't found a published rating. It is a violent sword-fighting film.
For another recent Chinese wuxia, try The Butcher's Blade (2026) DVD. For a 1990s classic of blade-fighting revenge, see The Blade (1995) DVD.
