Royal Warriors is a 1986 Hong Kong action film directed by David Chung for D & B Films, the company behind Michelle Yeoh's early action films. Yeoh leads, with Hiroyuki Sanada and Michael Wong, and the action team included Mang Hoi and Blackie Ko.
It is also known as In the Line of Duty, and it opened in Hong Kong in June 1986.
A Hong Kong policewoman and two fellow passengers, one of them a Japanese detective, stop a hijacking on a flight. Back on the ground, the hijackers' surviving associates come after all three of them, and the trio has to fight back. The action builds from close-quarters fights to large-scale set pieces.
Is it part of the In the Line of Duty series? Yes. It is often counted as one of the In the Line of Duty films, which were sold under several titles.
Is it suitable for younger viewers? The BBFC rated a 1987 UK video release, titled Police Assassins, 18.
For another 1986 D & B Films production, try Legacy of Rage (1986) DVD. For later Michelle Yeoh, see Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: Sword of Destiny (2016) DVD.
