Blood Warriors is a 1993 action film directed by Sam Firstenberg, whose earlier work includes the American Ninja films. It stars David Bradley, who took over the lead in later American Ninja sequels, opposite Frank Zagarino.
Jennifer Campbell co-stars in this jungle-set showdown.
A former Marine reconnects with an old friend and discovers that he now runs a private army of mercenaries. When he refuses to sign on, the reunion turns hostile, and he finds himself fighting his way through the people he once served beside. It is a straight-ahead early-1990s action film, heavy on firefights and hand-to-hand clashes, and a good showcase for Bradley's physical style. Zagarino, a regular in video-store action of the era, makes a cold and confident opponent. It is a lean, straightforward ride.
Who directed Blood Warriors? Sam Firstenberg.
Who stars in it? David Bradley and Frank Zagarino, with Jennifer Campbell.
Is it suitable for younger viewers? The BBFC rated it 18 for its 1994 UK video release.
For another early-1990s action thriller, try Bounty Tracker (1993) DVD. For more direct-to-video fighting from the same era, see Final Impact (1992) DVD.
